Portfolio Website for Monk Mackenzie

South partnered with Monk Mackenzie Architects, an Auckland based firm that is redefining the boundaries of New Zealand modern architecture across a range of markets and disciplines. The project was very detailed and highly collaborative from start to finish, with tight communications managed between client, design studio and developer. The brief for the site’s visual aesthetics was to be hyper reductive and brand neutral in terms of graphic design, very desaturated in colour and tone, revealing the hard lines, bulk and sculptural forms that embodies the narratives of their utterly brilliant portfolio of work. South indulged in the brief’s restrictions and added design thinking to the UI and functional experience of the site, by putting logic into the presentation of the work in a variety of ways.
