First Mates Last Laugh is Auckland’s freshest waterfront restaurant. They deliver an elevated offering with a casual approach. South worked closely with the owners from the get-go to create a brand that felt clean and modern without taking itself too seriously.

A ripple flows through the logotype, giving it the impression of a flag or a wave. Playful seaside illustrations add some charm to the brand. A simple, nautical-inspired colour palette works harmoniously with the space. Overall, the brand works helps make such an elegant space feel warm and welcoming for all.
